The Energy subcommittee will hold a hearing on Tuesday, February 15 at 2:30 p.m. to receive testimony regarding the prospects for liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the United States and to discuss the safety and security issues related to LNG development. Witnesses will be the FERC, the Coast Guard, State authorities, and industry stakeholders. Issues that will be discussed include LNG siting process; risk assessment; and the State and local governments’ role.

The National Parks subcommittee will hold a hearing on Thursday, February 17 at 2:30 p.m. to review the National Park Service’s implementation of the Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act authorized in Public Law 108-447.
