Senate Energy Committee Announces Schedule for Week of July 28

Washington, D.C. – The Subcommittee on Energy and the Subcommittee on National Parks and Public Lands will each conduct one hearing next week.
The Subcommittee on Energy will hold a hearing on Tuesday, July 29, at 9:30 a.m. in SD-366 to highlight the unique role that the DOE’s Office of Science plays in supporting research in the physical sciences. This research provides the foundation for many of the DOE’s developments in energy, defense and environmental issues.

The Subcommittee on National Parks will hold a hearing Tuesday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m. in SD-366 to receive testimony on the following three bills: S.808: a bill to provide for the expansion of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore S. 1107: a bill to enhance the recreational fee demonstration program for the National Park Service H.R. 620: a bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to provide supplemental funding and other services necessary to assist the State of California or local educational agencies in California in providing educational services for students attending schools located within Yosemite National Park.
