Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee Schedule for the Week of June 19

Washington, D.C. - The Senate Energy & Natural Resources Committee will hold two full committee hearings, three subcommittee hearings and one business meeting next week. 

The full committee will hold a hearing on the impact the Energy Policy Act of 2005 has had on renewable fuel standards and biofuels.  Senator Talent will chair the hearing which will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. in SD-366.

The national parks subcommittee will hold a hearing on Tuesday, June 20 at 2:30 p.m. in room SD-366 to receive testimony on the National Park Service’s Revised Draft Management Policies, including potential impact of the policies on park operations, park resources, wilderness areas, recreation, and interaction with gateway communities.

The national parks subcommittee will hold a hearing on Thursday, June 22 at 2:30 p.m. in room SD-366 to receive testimony on the following bills: S. 574, a bill to amend the Quinebaug and Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor Act of 1994 to increase the authorization of appropriations and modify the date on which the authority of the Secretary of the Interior terminates under the Act; S. 1387, a bill to provide for an update of the Cultural Heritage and Land Management Plan for the John H. Chafee Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, to extend the authority of the John H.
