Domenici Appoints Charles Chamberlayne as Committee Deputy Communications Director

Washington, D.C. – Senate Energy & Natural Resources Chairman Pete V. Domenici today welcomed Charles Chamberlayne as the new Deputy Communications Director of the energy committee effective August 28th. Charles Chamberlayne has replaced Angela Harper who moved to Indiana.
Chairman Domenici’s statement:
“I’m very pleased that Charles has joined the committee. Charles was a proven asset in Speaker Hastert’s office and I’m confident he will be a great asset to our communications team.”
Before joining the committee, Charles Chamberlayne worked for three years as an assistant to House Speaker J. Dennis Hastert (R-IL) for communications and outreach. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant producer and public relations strategist for the nationally syndicated pundit and columnist Armstrong Williams. He earned a dual Bachelor of Arts from Howard University in Political Science and History.
