Early Action Assured on Public Lands Bills

Chairman Bingaman is delighted that an agreement was reached last night to allow early action next year on the National Forests, Parks, Public Land and Reclamation Project Authorization Act of 2007 (S. 2483) – a bipartisan collection of nearly 60 individual bills under the jurisdiction of the Committee on Energy & Natural Resources. All of the provisions included in this compilation have been passed by the House of Representatives, and most have also been favorably reported from ENR.  Sen. Bingaman looks forward to passage of this broadly bipartisan bill next year.
