  • On Wednesday, Jan. 30, the full committee will mark-up 44 public lands bills pertaining to national parks, forests, heritage areas, reclamation projects and so on.  (Dirksen 366 at 11:30 a.m.)
 
  • On Thursday, Jan. 31, the full committee will consider carbon capture, transportation and sequestration and receive testimony on two related bills: S. 2323, to provide for the conduct of carbon capture and storage technology research, development and demonstration projects; and S. 2144, to require the Energy Secretary to study the construction and operation of carbon dioxide pipelines and sequestration facilities.  Witnesses include C. Stephen Allred, assistant secretary for land and minerals management, Department of the Interior; Joseph Kelliher, chairman, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission;  Krista Edwards,  deputy administrator, Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, Department of Transportation;  Benjamin Grumbles, assistant administrator for water, Environmental Protection Agency;  James Slutz, deputy assistant secretary, Office of Oil and Natural Gas, Department of Energy; Lawrence Bengal, director, Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission, Little Rock; Scott Anderson, senior policy advisor, Environmental Defense, Austin, Texas; Tracy Evans, senior vice president, Denbury Resources, Plano, Texas.  (Dirksen 366 at 10:00 a.m.)
