Advisory: Energy Mark-up Announced

On Tuesday, March 31, the full committee will hold a business meeting to consider energy legislation. Committee members also will consider the nomination of Thomas L. Strickland to be Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks, Department of the Interior. (Dirksen 366 at 10:00 a.m.)
 
The following legislative items are on the agenda:      
 
·          S. 531 - To provide for the conduct of an in-depth analysis of the impact of energy development and production on the water resources of the United States.
 
·          S. 598 - To amend the Energy Policy and Conservation Act to improve appliance standards.
 
·          S. 661 - To strengthen American manufacturing through improved industrial energy efficiency.
 
·          Draft - Energy Innovation and Workforce Development Title.
 
 
Additional mark-up sessions will be scheduled after the April recess to consider other legislative items for the comprehensive energy bill that the Committee plans to produce.  Please note that Senate Energy Committee mark-ups are not webcast.
