v On Tuesday, April 28, the full committee will consider legislation to improve the availability of financing for deployment of clean energy and energy efficiency technologies and to enhance United States’ competitiveness in this market through the creation of a Clean Energy Deployment Administration within the Department of Energy. A joint discussion draft of the proposal is posted on the Committee’s website. Witnesses will include Matt Rogers, senior advisor for the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Office of the Secretary of Energy; Dan Reicher, director, Climate Change and Energy Initiatives, Google.org, Mountain View, CA; John Denniston, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Menlo Park, CA; Jeanine Hull, counsel, Dykema Gossett PLLC, Washington; and Joe Hezir, vice president, EOP Group, Washington. v On Thursday, April 30, the full committee will hold a business meeting to consider nominations and pending energy legislation. The meeting’s agenda will be finalized next week.
