v On Tuesday, May 5, the full committee will consider the nominations of Daniel Poneman to be Deputy Secretary of Energy, David Sandalow to be Assistant Secretary of Energy for International Affairs and Domestic Policy, Rhea Suh to be an Assistant Secretary of the Interior and Michael Connor to be Commissioner of Reclamation. v On Wednesday, May 6, the full committee will hold a business meeting to consider legislation on siting of interstate electric transmission facilities, energy finance and nuclear energy. This mark-up is open to the press and the public but will not be webcast/audiocast. (Dirksen 366 at 10:00 a.m.)
v On Thursday, May 7, the full committee will receive testimony on a joint staff draft related to cybersecurity and critical electricity infrastructure. Witnesses TBA on the committee’s website. (Dirksen 366 at 10:00 a.m.)
v On Thursday, May 7, the Subcommittee on Energy will receive testimony on net metering, interconnection standards and other policies that promote the deployment of distributed generation to improve grid reliability, increase clean energy deployment, enable consumer choice and diversify our nation’s energy supply. Witnesses will include Irene Kowalczyk, director, Energy Policy & Supply, MeadWestvaco Corp., Glen Allen, VA; Chris Cook, managing director, Sunworks LLC, Dunn Loring, VA; Kevin Kelly, director, Division of Policy Development, Office of Energy Policy and Innovation, FERC, and representatives from NARUC and PEPCO .
