Bonus …
American home-owners and building-owners did well this week, as Senate Energy committed a lot of time to energy efficiency and cost-efficient, energy-saving buildings (which bring economic and job benefits, too).  It’s fitting to end the week noting that the U.S. Green Building Council included S. 1462, the American Clean Energy and Leadership Act, on its recent Top 10 list of bills that promote a sustainable built environment.  Another bipartisan bill -- the Expanding Building Efficiency Incentives Act of 2009, sponsored by Sens. Snowe, Feinstein and Bingaman – also made the Top 10.
