Sen. Murkowski Asks Sec. Chu to Testify at Loan Program Hearing

Murkowski, the ranking Republican on the committee, renewed her request for an oversight hearing to review DOE’s loan programs since the solar company Solyndra, which received a $535 million loan guarantee, filed for bankruptcy last August.
Since Solyndra filed for bankruptcy, every committee of jurisdiction in both the House and the Senate has held a hearing on DOE’s loan programs, except for the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
