Cantwell: Both Sides Should Work to Resolve the Remaining Issues on the Energy Bill
Statement After Cloture Votes on Bipartisan Energy Bill
February 4, 2016
Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Maria Cantwell (D-Wash.), ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, issued the following statement following the cloture votes on the bipartisan energy bill:
“Now that it’s clear there are not 60 votes to end debate on the energy bill, both sides should work to resolve the remaining issues that will get us to final passage. We are confident we can work out the remaining issues through good-faith negotiations, including a solution for the water crisis in Flint.”
