Chairman Murkowski and Ranking Member Cantwell Announce Updated Hearing Schedule
U.S. Sens. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, and Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., today announced an updated hearing schedule for the Energy and Natural Resources Committee. The full committee’s hearing to review the challenges and opportunities for oil and gas development in different price environments will be postponed until Tuesday, April 26, at 10 a.m.
The Energy and Natural Resources Subcommittee on Public Land, Forests and Mining will hold two hearings to receive testimony on pending legislation and to examine the impacts of invasive species on the productivity, value, and management of land and water resources.
- *POSTPONED* - Tuesday, April 19, at 10 a.m. – Full committee hearing to examine the challenges and opportunities for oil and gas development in different price environments. NEW DATE – Tuesday, April 26, at 10 a.m.
- *ADDED* - Thursday, April 21, at 2:30 p.m. – Subcommittee legislative hearing to receive testimony on pending legislation.
- *ADDED* - Thursday, April 28, at 2:30 p.m. – Subcommittee oversight and legislative hearing to examine the impacts of invasive species on the productivity, value, and management of land and water resources; to conduct oversight on the National Invasive Species Council’s new framework for early detection and rapid response; to examine improved cooperative tools for control and management; and to receive testimony on S. 2240.
All hearings will be held in Room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building in Washington, D.C. and webcast live on the committee’s website. Witness testimony will be available online immediately before the start of each hearing.
