Sen. Murkowski to Hold Field Hearing in Kenai
May 31 Event Will Focus on the Effects of Federal Regulations and Wildfire Management on the Kenai Peninsula
U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, today announced that the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee will hold a field hearing on Tuesday, May 31, to examine the challenges and impacts of federal regulations and wildfire management on outdoor recreation, hunting and fishing opportunities, and tourism on public lands on the Kenai Peninsula. The hearing will be held at the Challenger Learning Center and feature testimony from a diverse panel of Alaskans.
