Committee Advances Nominees To Senate Floor With Bipartisan Votes

Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a business meeting to consider six pending nominations. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Chairman of the Committee, voted to advance all six nominations.

An overview of the Committee’s votes can be viewed below:

  • Dr. Geraldine Richmond, nominated to be Under Secretary for Science at the Department of Energy, passed out of committee by voice vote.
  • Ms. Camille Touton, nominated to be Commissioner of Reclamation, passed out of committee by voice vote.
  • Mr. Brad J. Crabtree, nominated to be an Assistant Secretary of Energy for Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, passed out of committee by voice vote.
  • Mr. Charles F. Sams III, nominated to be Director of the National Park Service, passed out of committee by voice vote.
  • Mr. Willie L. Phillips, Jr., nominated to be a Member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, passed out of committee by voice vote.
  • Dr. Asmeret Berhe, nominated to be Director of the Office of Science at the Department of Energy, passed out of committee by recorded vote of 12-8.
