Manchin Votes To Confirm Energy, ACHP Nominees

Washington, DC – Today, the U.S. Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee held a business meeting to consider four pending nominations. U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV), Chairman of the Committee, voted to advance all four nominations.

An overview of the Committee’s votes can be viewed below:

  • Ms. Shalanda H. Baker, nominated to be Director of the Office of Minority Economic Impact at the Department of Energy (DOE), passed out of committee by voice vote.
  • Dr. Asmeret Asefaw Berhe, nominated to be Director of the Office of Science at DOE, passed out of committee by a recorded vote of 12-8.
  • Ms. Sara C. Bronin, nominated to be Chairman of the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP), passed out of committee by a recorded vote of 12-8.
  • Dr. Joseph F. DeCarolis, nominated to be Administrator of the Energy Information Administration, passed out of committee by voice vote.
