WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), issued the following statement regarding President Biden’s visit to Saudi Arabia. 

“President Biden is going halfway around the world looking for a solution found right here at home,” said Barrasso. “Unleashing American energy is the surest way to boost our economy and reduce energy prices. It would also weaken the influence of Russia and China. But the president won’t let us get it out of the ground. Instead, he is begging the Saudis to produce more oil to get him out of a political jam. President Biden’s actions are punishing Americans at the pump. It’s long past time for the president to reverse course and start governing in the interests of American families.”
